Black Cat Syndicate Limited (ASX: BC8) continued to build on the potential of the Bulong Gold Project near Kalgoorlie with a number of high-grade hits during drilling of the Myhree prospect.
Managing Director, Gareth Solly, said results from recent drilling included some of the highest intersections seen at Bulong.
“Intersecting the second-best result to date in an extensional zone to one of the FW lodes was a highlight of this recent programme,” Mr Solly said.
“Numerous visible gold intersections and thick zones of high grade is also pleasing and reinforces our thoughts that Myhree offers a near term, high grade mining opportunity.
“We were also encouraged by numerous intercepts from drilling of early stage SAM targets east of the Myhree-Boundary Corridor that were not previously drill tested.
“Myhree started off with similar results, so these targets will be a focus of future drilling as we look to add additional mine-ready Resources at Bulong.
SAM surveys continue to be a very effective exploration technique and highlight the exploration potential at Bulong.”
Recent RC and diamond drilling at Myhree intersected several zones of high grade mineralisation. These results correlate well with mineralised zones in the Resource model and show potential upside on grade. Visible gold was found in a number of quartz veins, within a sericite and pyrite altered ultramafic host. 19MYDD006 also intersected 7.70m @ 21.38 g/t Au from 123.13m in an extension to the footwall lode.
- 3.00m @ 16.01 g/t Au from 100.50m;
- 7.70m @ 21.38 g/t Au from 123.13m;
- 4.45m @ 13.92 g/t Au from 64.55m;
- 4.60m @ 10.98 g/t Au from 184.90m;
- 3.24m @ 9.43 g/t Au from 192.26m; and
- 2.00m @ 13.20 g/t Au from 231m
Initial exploration drilling at several sub-audio magnetics (SAM) targets drilled east of the Myhree/Boundary Corridor also returned encouraging results, confirming mineralisation at a number of early stage targets.
- 1m @ 13.10 g/t Au from 29m; and 1m @ 4.61 g/t Au from 90m;
- 3m @ 2.01 g/t Au from 60m; and
